TEAM Oscar Cosgrove, Ketan McDonald, Thomas Pennington, Louie Staffa, Tyler Wilkinson, Samuel Yates, William Young. Subs Ben Berry The scoreline doesn't reflect just how much better we played together as a team. We were passing the ball, clearing the line and communicating with each other! All we need now is for the goals to start going in!!!! Remember its not always about the result - you all gave 100% effort and we're still only early on in the season. Partly my fault, we will decide who to take throws, and corners etc before a match starts to avoid confusion and arguments on the pitch. During the first 10 minutes we were defending really well hence the 0 - 0 score. After two goals went in we seemed to loose focus. After half-time we were a different team altogether. Wills moved in to defence as Louie had an injury and Ben came on the right wing. You could clearly be heard organising yourselves and your communication was brilliant - we have our chances but still the goals wouldn't go in the net. We made lots of excellent runs down the wing, with some good crosses but there wasn't anyone there to take the ball. We need to move quicker up the field, passing the ball so our opponents don't get the chance to defend. Communication much better, Clearing the lines much better, Keeping positions just need a little working on, Scoring Goals - THEY WILL COME IN TIME. Remember we can't all be goal scorers each man has his part to play in the team. You all get 100% for effort and the manner in which you played the game. Keep it up. (Suzanne Young) |
