A great performance and response by all the lads after Tuesdays evening's game, even after going a goal down. They all kept their heads up and battled away equalising through a Luke Harwood penalty, the same player then scoring again to take us into a 2-1 half-time lead in what was a very closely contested first half in which both teams had chances to increase the score-line. The second half was much the same as the first with both teams creating chances but Blue Star pulled one back. Yet again the lads continued to play some good football and went into the lead when Thomas Briggs pushed up for a set piece and sent a beauty into the net from outside the box after Blue Star had thought they had cleared the danger. We then increased our lead when Luke completed his hat-trick. To their credit Blue Star kept playing and pulled a goal back with a cracking effort from the left wing and then got the equaliser from long distance which Connor did his best to save but the ball swerved wickedly in the air. So a hard earned point for the lads and lets hope we can keep the team spirit going for our next match. Well done to all the lads.
