Well a case of after the Lord Mayors show! After Tuesday’s terrific performance we came back down to earth with a bump! The lads never quite matched the performance of our last game. In a close game we started quite brightly but eventually went a goal down due to some good play by the opposition. Although the lads gave it their best to equalize we went in at half-time 1-0 down. In the second half we pushed & created a few more chances which we didn’t quite manage to score from. Eventually from a free kick floated into the box a handball was given resulting in Luke scoring from the penalty. Both sides pushed for a winner & it wasn’t to be our day as Oswaldtwistle hit the net with a well taken goal. The lads gave it their all especially with some struggling with knocks, a draw might have been a fairer result for all their effort. Player of the match was Connor Jones for another great performance in goal. What a great keeper this lad is turning out to be!!!
