Notes:	This was the lads first game of the season, and they went into the game with a positive attitude. The game was evenly fought and was end to end. Both teams had quite a few opportunities to score early on, but the cross bar and post came into play for the Lammack team. The lively Jordan Yates struck the cross bar twice in the first half, and we eventually opened the scoring with a great corner taken by Jordan Yates, crossed in high for Jack Marsden to slot the ball home, 1-0 Darwen Rangers. We then went to sleep for a while and decided to mess around in our penalty area with the ball instead of clearing the danger and we were punished, by some clinical finishing by their striker, 1-1, then shortly after 2-1 Lammack. Half Time We decided to change some players at the break and Jordan Rolfe was moved up front with Jack Marsden slotting back into midfield, Aidan Young was replaced by Josh Wickers and Conor Ward replaced Alex Young at left back. We were soon 3-1 down, with some sloppy defending and our midfield not tracking back. We got more into the game and a great cross from the right wing from Jordan Rolfe and their defender headed the ball into his own net, 3-2. Another missed chance from Craig Robinson, who was very unlucky when he hit the post. 2 more goals in quick succession and we were 5-2 down, but to be fair the lads heads didn't drop and they stuck at their tasks and eventually Jordan Yates was repaid for all his efforts with a cracking goal from distance. We were awarded a free kick which Cameron Cleverly knocked forward to the on running Jordan Rolfe who struck the ball cleanly with his right foot into the bottom right of the goal. With only 2 minutes remaining we were awarded a penalty for fowl play on Josh Wickers. Josh stepped up, hit the ball clean but unfortunately it went over the bar. We were given a second chance at taking the penalty as Josh didnt wait for the refs whistle. Nobody wanted to step up so the captain Jordan Rolfe came forward, placed the ball on the spot, hit it hard and low, and their keeper dived the right way to save. The final whistle blew within seconds. On the day the lads were very unlucky, with a bit more fortune, they could have won this game, if it hadnt been for the crossbar and post. A very hard fought game in which neither team deserved to be beaten. A special mention to Cameron Cosgrove who made some outstanding saves, and great distribution of goal kicks, recent additions to the team Jamaal Khan and Conor Ward played some great football, which is encouraging for the rest of the season.
