| Player profile |
Jodie is a strong robust player, who can execute a strong tackle, deliver a good cross and make a nuisance of herself in the box. Unfortunately she can sometimes go missing in a game, this is also true in training. Jodie needs to learn to put in 100% effort 100% of the time. Like most of the girls Jodie needs to learn to get to the ball first. Jodie has a fabulous hard shot but doesn't seem to want to use it, if she learned to pull the trigger more she could treble her goal tally. Jodie also has great close control, she can make space for herself and deliver a great pass for the attackers to run on to. On her day she can be unstoppable and if more she was more commanding and vocal she could go a long way in football. (Neill Caville, Oct 2008)
Jodie's work rate is never in question, its just a question of whether she will turn up. A better attendance at training would benefit Jodie immensely. Her presence on the pitch lifts the whole team, her tackling, distribution and goal scoring have been at times brilliant, but never below par. An excellent girl to have around with the potential to become a great footballer if she puts the effort in. Sometimes a bit to quiet on the pitch, she needs to show better leadership qualities.
Jodie makes the team tick, she pulls the strings in midfield and nobody can touch her when she is in this kind of form, her vision, technique, tackling, passing, crossing, and goal scoring are outstanding. The only thing that let’s Jodie down is her attendance at training. Given the chance this girl could go all the way to the top. A great girl to have around, who may be quiet but she certainly lets her feet do the talking, more of the same next season please Jodie. (Neill Caville & Paul Whittaker, May 2009)
Jodie was named Players' Player of the Season 2006/07. |
